The brief was to make a computer bag that didn't look like one! The client was going off to university and wanted a bag that would stand out. We designed it there and then in the shop, where she was able to pick her fabrics, buttons and badges from our large selection.
For the same wedding, but for the younger bridesmaids, the client wanted little purse bags. We designed this over the shoulder style, in silk that matched their dresses.
Donated for a charity auction, this clutch bag was designed to celebrate the silver anniversary of the Manchester Craft and Design Centre. It was made from dupion silk, decorated with origami silk leaves and finished with a large, hallmarked, silver button.
These wedding bags were made for two adult bridesmaids. We used the same silk that was used for their dresses, which the client had provided. A simple design was required, one that wouldn't detract from the dresses, but that highlighted the qualities of the silk. We decided to base the design on the nana clutch bag, adding pintucks and handles.
